Will there be a supplement for doctors? Increase in salaries for medical workers

  • 06.12.2023

Increasing the income of public sector workers has been and remains one of the priorities of the state’s social policy. Among them are medical workers. Will there be an increase in doctors' salaries in 2018? Should we expect a real increase in income or solely equalization according to the inflation coefficient? How are the May Presidential Decrees implemented in this regard? All the answers are in our article.

Program for increasing salaries of health workers

Just 5 years ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin in his May decrees he set a strategic goal:

To bring the salary level of doctors in 2018 to 200% of the regional average. For nursing staff, the bar is set at 100%.

According to the authorities, already in 2017, in a number of regions and territories of the country, the income of medical personnel approached 180% of the regional average. Olga Golodets, who is responsible for social activities in the government, pleased us with the message that money for the implementation of this project has been programmed in the budget. Doctors can only improve the quality of services, receiving decent remuneration for their work.

An important component of this process is equipping the country’s medical institutions with high-tech modern equipment. It is encouraging, as Vladimir Putin emphasizes, that about 60% of such high-precision equipment is produced in Russia, some of it at defense factories as part of conversion programs.

Moreover, it really now reaches remote regions. For example, in the Arkhangelsk region they perform complex operations on blood vessels, including stenting using the endovascular method, that is, a stent is placed on large vessels without incisions, through a puncture in one of the large arteries. And recently, there, in the city hospital of Arkhangelsk, a donor kidney transplant was performed for the first time.

Difficulties in reforming the industry

The first problem lies on the surface - the country’s economic difficulties lead to a financial deficit, this is the first obstacle to increasing doctors' salaries in 2018.

Therefore, the issue is partly resolved through “optimization”, but simply through staff reductions and consolidation, or even closure of branches.

Over the five and a half years that have passed since the announcement of the Decrees, 90 thousand health workers have lost their jobs. And the process will certainly continue in the coming years.

The remaining employees have to take on an increased workload. It is no secret that many doctors and nurses and orderlies work at one and a half times the rate, plus night shifts. But these “super-incomes” are partially eaten up by inflation, rising retail prices and tariffs for various services.

At the end of October, an obstetrician-gynecologist who worked at the Angarsk Perinatal Center died. She was on duty for at least 24 hours; many sources reported that her “working day” lasted 30 hours without a break. The body could not withstand the load, especially since this was not the first long duty of a responsible qualified employee of the maternity hospital.

Currently, the salary of medical workers consists of the following components:

  • salary;
  • additional payments for intensity and complexity;
  • allowances for category and length of service;
  • regional coefficients.

If the salary increases from time to time, then it is quite possible to lose bonuses and other allowances: it’s up to the management to decide.

It is important that depending on the region, the level of remuneration may vary significantly. Both capitals have the ability to maintain the level of income of doctors and other workers in the field at a decent level, but in other regions of the country things are not always as good.

If the country's leadership sets the task of leveling these levels, then the capital authorities are trying to preserve the privileges of Moscow doctors. Recently, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that in 2017-2018, salaries of employees of Moscow medical institutions will be raised by 40% compared to 2016. In absolute figures, it will be 120 thousand rubles per month in 2018, the mayor promised. The mayor also called on health officials to monitor the workload of doctors.

What do we have in reality today?

Everything is clear with Muscovites. And on average across the country, if the task set by President Putin is completed, by the end of 2018 doctors should have a salary of 90 thousand rubles. But there is one big trick:

Since 2017, the income of not only state healthcare institutions, but also private sector owners has been added to the common “piggy bank”. Add to this regional “scissors” - and the picture becomes even more confusing.

Now they officially call the average salary of doctors 47 thousand rubles. In private clinics today, the “average” cosmetologist or other specialist has 90 thousand. A municipal therapist in Ingushetia can count on only 23 thousand per month, but in the Yamalo-Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug it reaches 110 thousand (including northern allowances).

Nurses are content with a salary of 20 thousand, and also on average. In a number of regions of the country, a decrease in salaries of medical personnel was noted in the first half of 2017 - these are Ingushetia, Adygea, Dagestan, Jewish Autonomy, Arkhangelsk Region and Nenets District.

25 regions showed an increase, but by a very small amount, say, in Altai it is plus 53 rubles per month. And somewhere even less. The disparities are especially visible when compared to the income of Western doctors. In terms of our money:

  • an American therapist earns about 416,000 rubles;
  • in France his salary is 200,000;
  • in Germany – 225,000 rubles.

Increasing doctors' salaries in 2018: news from the government

In October 2017 wages health workers were indexed by 5.5%. Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets hopes that in 2018 the implementation of the May decrees of the President will be carried out in in full. They are otherwise called " Development program social guarantees ».

Some experts express doubts that the May decrees can be implemented as early as next year. But the Deputy Prime Minister is more optimistic. Golodets recalls that more than 670 billion rubles have been allocated from the state treasury for the implementation of the project. If we compare the funding of the medical industry in terms of salaries this year and next, then the optimism looks justified. In 2018, twice as much funds will be allocated to different regions of the country as in the previous year. In this regard, the prospects for a significant increase in medical salaries in 2018 look real.

Echoes his colleague and finance minister. Anton Siluanov foresees an improvement in the situation in the budgetary sector as a whole in the near future:

Wages are forecast to rise 4.1 percent in real terms next year. This is also due to the fact that we are increasing wages and payments in the public sector.

In 2018, the medical industry will receive 80 billion rubles from the budget to increase salaries. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation Maxim Topilin. The growth of salaries in healthcare is partly possible due to such a factor as the per capita standard. It will increase by 21.7% in 2018, which will amount to a total of 333.2 billion rubles. This standard can be described as the amount of funds allocated per year per person assigned to a specific medical institution, according to the compulsory system health insurance.

One of the most popular tasks is to improve wages for representatives of worthy professions this year. Will we expect a salary increase in 2018 in Russia, what latest news and the statements were mentioned on the Runet, which can help to create the most objective overview of the problem and answer this question. Who will receive higher profits?

First of all, it is worth considering the statements of our President. In them, he proposes to index the salaries of public sector employees, who were not affected by the changes announced in the “May Decrees”, which were created about six years ago. An order has already been received to the heads of all regions, which clearly states that funds should be found to increase salaries and compensate for the current budget shortfall. Who will be lucky enough to join the ranks of those who will receive an increase in their wages?

First, it should be noted that a decent salary increase for doctors is planned in 2018 in Russia: the latest news says that doctors will finally begin to earn decent money, commensurate with the efforts expended, but when exactly will the increase happen? The salary increase should take effect from the first month of the year and will be equal to approximately two times the average income in the Russian Federation. This statement was made by Olga Golodets, who holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government. She promises that the minimum wage will be improved in 2018 with money included in the country's federal budget.

Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government

In addition to doctors, I would like to raise the issue of increasing salaries for nurses in 2018 in Russia: what is the latest news about this profession? They have a lot in common with doctors, but there are also differences. For example, if the increase in the salaries of doctors reaches two hundred percent of the average salary, then for nurses it will reach one hundred percent of the average salary, official sources say. In addition, doctors should be warned not to delude themselves too much, since the concept of “average salary” is not at all what it really is. The salary differential for nurses is more striking compared to doctors. This is the result of unequal treatment of the work of doctors.

School. Teaching professions

In addition to doctors, teachers can also expect salary increases. Their salaries can rise to the same level as doctors. But, unlike doctors, the salary increase will not occur from the beginning of the year, but only in October, to be more precise, on Teacher’s Day. Teachers' income will be increased by 200% compared to salaries six years ago.

Initially, the increase was planned to be done gradually, but due to the crisis, which began four years ago, it became impossible to increase teachers’ salaries. It is still not completely clear whether they will be able to fulfill the promise this year, given the large-scale deficit federal budget. It is impossible to answer this question unambiguously. But, despite this, teachers do not have to worry, their salaries will increase entirely in accordance with general level inflation. As a rule, this is somewhere around 6%; teachers will have such an increase very soon.

And one more thing. If we finally examine the topic with doctors, then what kind of salary increase for doctors can be expected in Russia in 2018, what other latest news is there on this topic? The government has more than once examined the issue of the younger generation entering medical institutes. Students must be motivated to work in their specialty. Therefore, if wages are raised by high level, then the working conditions will become more favorable and attractive.

For recent years programs were developed whose purpose was to replenish budget funds for health care. Contributions from compulsory health insurance should be increased to twenty-one percent to improve health care coverage. Then there will be money for the latest equipment, and it will be possible to increase the wages of medical workers, which applies to both doctors and nurses. In addition, there was a rumor that an amount of 450 billion rubles had been reserved to increase the salaries of doctors.

Police salaries

Now about the police officers. These structures have been forced to undergo various reforms over the years, such as changing their name from militia to police. In addition, internal optimization was carried out, which affected the number of divisions. These changes were bound to have some impact on the income of employees.

According to our President, the salary of law enforcement officers will double this year. The Ministry of Finance only confirms the words of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, but there is no exact data on the size of the salary increase yet. If we take into account the May decrees of the President, employees are guaranteed to receive a salary increase of 160% compared to the salaries they had almost six years ago. All benefits and additional payments will remain at the previous level.

If you look at the current economic situation, it should be noted that it is unlikely that it will be possible to implement the changes that have been planned for a long time. But law enforcement officers can be consoled by the information that in any case there will be an annual increase in the total salary by 5.6% and salary by 8%.

And the latest news about increasing salaries for doctors in 2018 in Russia, list interesting facts regarding salaries of medical workers:

  • According to the results of the first half of the previous year, the salary of a medical worker is fifty-two thousand nine hundred rubles. This is four thousand more than the previous year.
  • Mid-level medical specialists receive 29,400 rubles, while junior ones receive 19,400 rubles. This is approximately two thousand higher than before. For comparison – 28 thousand and 17,500 rubles.
  • The highest wages for doctors working in the Northwestern Federal District– it amounts to 66,400 rubles.
  • The lowest wages are in North Ossetia, Alania, where the salary is 28,400 rubles, and Kalmykia – 29 thousand rubles.

In Moscow, doctors receive 90,100 rubles.

This is where we can finish the review of the topic “increasing salaries for doctors in 2018 in Russia - latest news” and now you can move on.

Government workers

To determine the current income of civil servants, a special system will be used that identifies the performance of an individual civil servant. A legislative project is in favor of increasing the salaries of officials by 2 times. But this increase, as a result, will carry with it some responsibilities prescribed in employment contract, which every official will be required to sign in order to receive an increase in his salary. The level of effectiveness of the official’s work will be identified. And if the assigned tasks are not fulfilled, then this will entail a salary cut and deprivation of bonuses.

TO When will wages increase in Russia?

In order for wages to increase, it is necessary to have sources for this. The Ministry of Finance is actively working on this, offering such ways of raising the missing funds as:

  • personnel cuts at the highest levels. Theoretically, such reductions will save up to 19 billion rubles. There will be no reduction in people involved in teaching activities.
  • regarding income taxation - it is planned to increase it from eighteen to twenty-two percent, insurance payments will be reduced from thirty-two to twenty-two percent. As a result, two hundred and fifty billion dollars could be saved and used to increase wages.

Healthcare in Russia often becomes a sore subject, especially when it comes to wages. One of the exciting questions on at the moment: What will be the salary increase for doctors in 2018?? According to Rosstat, the average salary of workers in the field of medicine in the country is 47 thousand rubles, but this number is little more informative than the “average temperature in a hospital.” While doctors at private clinics receive decent pay, ordinary staff budgetary organizations forced to work for pennies. Certain changes in legislation have led to a significant increase in workload. Some doctors have to work two or even three times, while receiving depressing salaries. low salaries.

The economic crisis of past years also significantly affected the financing of the public sector. For example, last year indexation of doctors' salaries occurred only half of the expected value and amounted to five percent instead of the planned ten. This news caused numerous discussions, both in society and in the media. However, the recent rise in oil prices and the associated strengthening of the ruble are gradually improving the situation, so the question “ what will happen to doctors' salaries“The prospects that emerge are not as gloomy as one might think.

Thu What will happen to doctors’ salaries? Government news

On increasing salaries for doctors in 2018 in Russia told O. Golodets. Based on the words of the Deputy Prime Minister, remuneration for doctors will be increased to 200% of the average for the Russian Federation. Measures to increase salaries are planned to be completed by January 2018. Funds for them are already included in the budget. Golodets expressed hope that all regions will make efforts to implement the program so that doctors can have decent remuneration and work effectively. The May decrees mentioned by Olga Golodets relate to the so-called “Program for the Development of Social Guarantees” outlined by Vladimir Putin in 2012. The program provides for a salary increase individual categories state employees 100% of average salary in the region, its completion is scheduled for 2018. Over 670 billion rubles have been allocated from the state treasury for the implementation of planned activities. It is implied that the work of workers medical field must be stably and profitably paid, otherwise, against the backdrop of the constantly declining prestige of the profession, providing high-quality and timely medical care will become a truly impossible task.

To date, the authorities have not yet announced the exact figures for future indexations, but the gradual strengthening of the economy after the 2016 crisis gives hope. to increase salaries in the healthcare system in 2018 in the Russian Federation. It is guaranteed to be carried out, even despite the amendment reducing the growth rate of the per capita funding standard to 5.4%. This information was provided by Tatyana Nesterenko, who holds the post of First Deputy Minister of Finance. There are no economic prerequisites for the abolition of indexations yet, judging by the stabilization indicators of the economy. It is reliably known from Dmitry Peskov that there are no plans to reduce wages for medical workers. The presidential press secretary also noted that the proposal to reduce salaries for public sector employees was not formalized, but was only a private initiative of one of the departments. Consequently, it had to undergo a series of appropriate approvals at the interdepartmental and state level. At the same time, the positions of neither the government nor the cabinet of ministers have yet been announced. The points of view of the supervising Deputy Prime Minister and the officials involved in the program are also still unknown.

With all the efforts on the part of the government, looking for additional resources and reserves for financing, a simple raising doctors' salaries not enough. Given the high level of inflation over last year, the premium should compensate for the increase in prices for public utilities, essential goods and food. The situation is complicated by the fact that approximately 11 million Russian citizens continue to receive salaries unofficially, in an envelope. According to the Ministry of Labor, such tax avoidance has a serious impact on revenues in state budget Consequently, it complicates the financing of budgetary organizations, which include hospitals, clinics, and sanatoriums. On the one hand, money for healthcare will be allocated in any case, but on the other hand, it is only possible to raise doctors’ wages by cutting funding for other budget organizations. This will inevitably lead to a drop in the average income of people working in the medical field.

Augie should we make cuts?

Against the backdrop of such an ambiguous forecast, rumors quite predictably began to spread that salary increases for doctors would be achieved by reducing the number of jobs. Indeed, this kind of “optimization” was already carried out in 2014 during the healthcare reform, and the results were unsatisfactory. Since then, careful work has been done to correct the errors. The position of the Ministry of Health on this issue is very clear, layoffs of doctors in 2018 in Russia won't be . Currently, many medical institutions, on the contrary, are interested in attracting a large number of personnel. Modern medical students spend about 10 years studying, becoming not only highly specialized specialists, but also generalists, in demand in many areas. It is quite fair that years of painstaking study and practice, coupled with the accumulated store of knowledge, should find worthy use in protecting the health of the country's population.

It should be taken into account that the wages of health workers include salary and allowances (for continuous service, or compensation for harm and others). During the 2014 reform, initiated by the Ministry of Health, the basic salary of doctors increased, and the bonus part, on the contrary, was reduced. As a result, the salary of most doctors remained without visible changes. In the future, a similar situation may arise when, against the background of an increase in the basic salary, the supplement begins to decrease, the size of which is determined by the management of a particular hospital. On top of everything else, up to 2017 average earnings budget workers was calculated based on data from government agencies. In 2018, the calculation principle will change; income received in commercial structures will be taken into account. Since doctors in private clinics receive noticeably more than doctors from budgetary medical institutions, formally the average salary in the region will increase, although in reality real salaries public sector doctors will remain at the same level.

To summarize, it is worth noting that experts predict a gradual increase in the salaries of medical workers during 2017 by approximately 55-60%, the rest of the increase will occur next year. Thus, information about salary increase for doctors in 2018 and fresh news about this will become known to us in a year.

Any action in our life has a relationship with another, and the second with the third, and so on. An example is the following: a low salary cannot serve as an incentive to work with high dedication. And therefore, the question: whether there will be an increase in salaries for doctors in 2018 worries not only the doctors themselves, but also ordinary citizens. After all, it’s not easy for the latter to want to receive medical services, but also that they be of high quality. And the high level of wages for employees of medical institutions is a certain incentive for them to provide them.
It's no secret that medical workers are not very happy with their salaries. This forces medical institutions to make some of their services paid, and this, in turn, does not please the population who go to them to improve their health.
Against this background, Golodets’ statement that we should expect a 200 percent increase in salaries in the healthcare system in 2018 in the Russian Federation was a balm for the souls of doctors. True, this was said with a caveat, which most did not notice - the increase will be relative to the 2012 level. If you believe the words of the government representative, there are funds in the budget for these increases, the government voted “For”. So no one is going to cancel the presidential decree.
Medical workers are obliged to receive a decent salary, otherwise they are unlikely to be able to perform their duties at a high-quality level, since they will be thinking about something completely different. And everyone who comes to them for medical help may suffer from this, the Deputy Prime Minister ended her statement with these words.

The territorial location of medical institutions has a significant impact on the wages of people working in them. As is known, doctors working in both capitals of the country receive the most high salary. But, according to Golodets, this difference will be somewhat leveled after the increase. After all, the increase in salaries for doctors in 2018 in Russia will be uneven. As a result, the salaries of health workers throughout the country should be straightened. That is, a doctor in Moscow and somewhere in Altai will receive approximately the same amount for his activities.

What at the moment?

Today, the wages of employees of medical institutions consist of the following components - salary, allowances and additional payments in the form of compensation. In accordance with the presidential decree, doctors' salaries will be increased. It seems to be happy and live for your pleasure.
But as practice shows, it is the increase in the salary component that leads to the fact that workers’ total earnings decrease. After all, the formula is this: the higher the salary, the lower the additional payments and compensation. Moreover, compensation is not included in the mandatory part of the salary - it is awarded by the head of the institution according to his decision. And since the leader bestows his power, then it is also within his power to deprive him.

It is very good that doctors’ salaries will be indexed next year. After all, the current salary calculation system does not meet with understanding from the majority of health workers. And the reason for this negativity is precisely the method of calculation compensation payments. It, as mentioned above, depends on the desire of the management, moreover, the payment is made based on the assessment of the workplace itself. But the position held by the employee does not affect the additional payment in any way. But previously it was she who had the greatest influence on additional payments and, accordingly, they were much larger. And there was an incentive to make a career, and therefore to work better.

What will happen?

If you believe official financial experts, now the average salary for doctors is approximately 35 thousand rubles, and after the increase it will be about 50 thousand, which is good news. But recently a small survey was conducted, in which about 5 thousand people from medical institutions from all over the country took part. So, most of them indicated that their monthly earnings do not exceed 20 thousand and they have not heard or seen about 35 thousand.
Independent financial experts express great doubt that the plans of the country's leadership are feasible. Moreover, against the backdrop of a general crisis, it is unlikely that the necessary amounts will be found in the country’s budget. In addition, such a rapid increase in salaries, especially since the government provides this not only for doctors, can have negative consequences for the country as a whole.
The recent healthcare reform forced almost 9 thousand people to leave their jobs as medical workers and, according to experts, the upcoming increase may also cause a reduction in medical workers in 2018 in Russia, so that management can find funds to increase the salaries of the remaining workers.

This means there will be a shortage of workers in many positions. Which in turn will lead to combining positions. What will again affect the quality of the services provided - we again return to where we started - increasing wages so that the quality of the services provided improves.
The recent cuts are already having a negative impact on the healthcare system - every month each doctor began to spend 12 hours more on work. And this is only official; in reality, this figure may be higher. As a result, health workers simply do not have time to fully rest between shifts, and therefore, to provide quality medical care to those in need.

What else?

On the other hand, according to experts from the same group of independents, the likelihood that there will be an increase in salaries for doctors in 2018 in Russia, and the latest news does not lie, is high. There are the following reasons for this:
  • Healthcare has not received normal funding for a long time. This has led to the fact that the salaries of medical staff really need to be revised and subsequently increased;
  • Moreover, presidential elections are planned for 2018, which means that in the run-up to them, the current president is unlikely to renege on his words. Otherwise, faith in him and in presidential power in general will plummet. This could lead to people voting for the wrong person.

But again, the independents draw their own conclusion that there will at least be an increase. But it will not be at the level planned, but significantly less. After all, there are not so many sources of budget financing and even in aggregate they will not be able to provide the necessary money supply. So what will happen to doctors’ salaries in the election year is not yet clear.

Against this background of ongoing disputes, information about raising the VAT by 4 percent (from 18 to 22) with a simultaneous reduction in insurance contributions to the budget from 30% to the same 22 was heard almost unnoticed. This innovation was proposed by the Ministry of Finance. Such a mutual increase/decrease in rates should compensate for all losses for businessmen.
Experts expressed the opinion that this could provoke an increase in inflation, but the head of the Ministry of Finance Siluanov assured that this indicator will be controlled by the state and it will not allow it to rise by more than 2 percent. In addition, this move, at this level of inflation, will give the budget almost a trillion rubles of income. And raising the salaries of doctors will not be an unbearable burden for the state. The main thing is that this proposal from the Ministry of Finance is accepted by the government.

Reading time ≈ 5 minutes

We all know how important and responsible the work of health workers who have chosen such a difficult professional path is. It’s a shame, but today we can safely say that the work of medical staff in government medical institutions The Russian Federation is valued an order of magnitude lower than that of doctors collaborating with private medical structures or foreign clinics. The government promised that this issue would be resolved this year, and the medical industry would once again become one of the most prestigious areas of professional activity.

It’s worth finding out if there is any new news on this matter, and what salary doctors can expect in the current conditions.

Formation of salaries for health workers

Today, a health worker's salary includes:

  • the salary itself;
  • additional charges for loads, complexity and intensity;
  • bonus payments based on length of service and category;
  • compensation with regional coefficients.

Basically, medical staff can only count on an increase in their salary, because this component is often subject to indexation with increases. It can be noted that the gross part of the income of health workers is bonuses, compensation and additional payments. Namely, it is very easy to remain without them, because the calculation of these components of wages depends directly on management.

The requirements of the May decrees state that in 2018 there should be twice as many doctors as average regional salaries, but this remained only on paper due to unexpected crisis conditions.

Doctors' salaries are expected to double

The bottom line on the issue of wages for health workers is the impact on federal and regional levels Rosstat:

  • The first half of this year showed that the average salary of medical staff is 52,900 rubles. This is almost 4 thousand higher than last year;
  • The income of mid-level specialists is 29.4 thousand, junior – 19.4 thousand rubles. Last year their salaries were 28.0 thousand and 17.5 thousand rubles;
  • the highest salary is a salary of 66.4 thousand for doctors who practice in the Northwestern Federal District.

The Nenets Autonomous Okrug is in the leading position - 130.1 thousand. The second place was assigned to the Far Eastern Federal District, here the championship in terms of income belongs to Chukotka, where doctors are paid 144.1 thousand rubles. As for the lowest salaries, a salary of 28.4 thousand rubles is received in North Ossetia-Alania. In Kalmykia – 29.9 thousand rubles. To compare, in the capital doctors earn 90.1 thousand rubles.

Salary increase

About new salary calculations for doctors in 2018

Recent news dashes hopes for a significant salary increase in 2018, despite what was promised by the May decrees. And although statements made by the head of the Ministry of Health M. Skvortsova indicate the government’s intentions to fulfill the promise made to medical workers, an increase in wages to the level of one hundred and eighty percent of the average salary in Russia should not be expected in the near future.

Let us recall that according to the May decrees, it was expected that salaries for doctors would increase in 2018 to 66 thousand rubles.

Experts' opinions regarding the growth of wages for medical workers are divided. One half of the experts is inclined to believe that salary calculations are possible in a new way, since the amount of accumulated reserve funds governments are sufficient to implement the presidential decree to increase doctors' salaries in 2018.

In addition, the implementation of the plan will be appropriate before the presidential elections. The other half of experts argue that the funds needed to make this promise a reality are not enough.

Both agree on one thing: in 2018 we should expect salaries for medical workers. Their salaries will increase to compensate for the damage caused by inflation.

According to the May decrees, the salaries of doctors will be increased to 66 thousand rubles

About salary calculations for nurses in 2018

If we talk about new calculations of salaries for nurses in this year, then they should be 80% of the average salary in the country. And this despite the fact that, according to presidential decrees, nurses’ salaries must correspond to the average salary in Russia.

There is a disappointing picture of the lag behind the salary increase schedule not only for doctors, but also for nursing staff.

According to Rosstat, today there is a significant differentiation in the income of nurses by region. This figure is higher than that of doctors. This indicates an unequal attitude towards the work of medical workers, as can be seen from the different levels of payments by region for the same professional responsibilities.

The promised increase for nurses will not yet come

About salary calculations for nurses in 2018

Speaking about the growth of salary accruals medical workers, it is necessary to once again emphasize the need to increase payments to junior staff (orderlies) who have the lowest salaries. Unfortunately, it is not possible to resolve this issue at the regional level due to the limited financial capabilities of most of them.
